At HashStudio, we pride ourselves on delivering premium video editing services. Because our work is highly customized and labor-intensive, we have established the following refund policy to protect both our clients and our team's time.
1. General Policy
Due to the custom nature of video post-production, we generally do not offer refunds once editing work has officially commenced. The time and resources dedicated by our editors to ingest, organize, and edit your footage cannot be recovered. By hiring HashStudio and submitting your project assets, you agree to this standard.
2. Cancellations and Deposits
For one-off projects or bulk packages requiring an upfront deposit:
- If you decide to cancel your project before any editing work or asset review has begun, your deposit will be fully refunded, minus any applicable payment processing fees.
- If you cancel the project after work has already begun, the initial deposit is entirely non-refundable to cover the labor and time already invested by our team.
3. Monthly Retainer Services
For clients utilizing our monthly subscription or retainer services:
- You may cancel your retainer at any time. We require a minimum notice of 14 days before your next billing cycle to prevent the next month's charge.
- We do not offer prorated refunds for the active billing cycle. If you cancel mid-month, we will continue to fulfill editing requests until the end of that current billing period.
- Unused edits or hours do not roll over to the following month and are not eligible for a refund.
4. Quality Guarantee & Revisions
We are fully committed to your satisfaction and delivering content that meets your brand's standards. Rather than issuing refunds, our approach is to fix any issues through our standard revision process.
If the initial draft does not align with your vision, we will utilize the revision rounds included in your project scope (typically up to two rounds) to make the necessary adjustments based on your specific, consolidated feedback. If you are still unsatisfied after the included revisions, additional revisions can be purchased.
5. Exceptions
Exceptions to this non-refundable policy are rare but may be made at the sole discretion of HashStudio management in the following scenarios:
- Accidental double billing or technical payment errors on our end.
- If HashStudio completely fails to deliver the agreed-upon initial draft within the initially agreed-upon timeframe (excluding delays caused by the client's failure to provide assets or feedback).
